This week our lab meeting was visited by distinguished scholar Fuzzy Puppet Orangebottom, who helped the undergraduate research assistants (RAs) practice giving 'elevator talk' summaries of their research projects.
Being able to giving a brief, oral summary of the work you're doing is important. And it's not so hard to do, if you have a little time to think about what you want to say and practice it beforehand.
That's where Professor Orangebottom came in. He was tough, but fair. He grilled us on our presentations, and now everyone is ready to represent the lab at the spring research conferences.
